H.J.Nolan (Dublin) Ltd.
is Ireland's leading producer of quality Irish seafood and one of the few
remaining family-run fish businesses in the country. Established in 1921,
three generations of the Nolan family have developed the company's
reputation for innovative, excellent quality products. Nolans commitment
is to consistently provide customers at home and abroad with the
traditional good taste and texture that is it's hallmark.
They provide a range of seafood products but is probably best known
for its smoked salmon with nearly a century of expertise as one of Dublin's
oldest smokeries. Its distinctive light smoky flavour and smooth silky
texture gives a mouth-watering succulent taste that is unique to Nolans.
'Our goal is not to produce a good salmon but to produce the very
best salmon that we can', says George Nolan, Managing Director and
Grandson of the founder, Harry Nolan.

The company has its headquarters in Dublin, the Irish
capital, and is also located at two of the country's largest fishing
ports, Killybegs and Howth. Howth Fish Sales Ltd, a subsidiary of
H.J.Nolan, is responsible for operating the leading whitefish auction at
Howth. While the company's operation in Killybegs acts as a packing and
distribution point for the northwest of the country.
Nolans
products are produced under strict hygiene controls in accordance with EU
Directive 493/91. The company has its headquarters in Dublin, the Irish

Points of
interest... * 67 boats land their catch to
Nolans at Killybegs in County Donegal and at Howth harbour in
Dublin. * Fish auctions are held about 3 times a week at the Nolans depot in
Howth, Killybegs and Kilkeel. * Twice a day, refrigerated trucks
collect salmon from the west of Ireland and transport the fresh catch to
Dublin. * All of our Atlantic salmon is graded for size and quality before
being blast frozen. This ensures a consistent supply of top quality salmon
throughout the year. |
